The New South Wales’ government extended Sydney lockdown last week and the festival’s organizers said that the 68th edition of the event will be postponed until November 3-14, 2021.
According to media, Sydney’s current lockdown requires that people stay at home except for crucial business. The lockdown will run until August 28.
The Sydney Film Festival is normally held annually in June after the Cannes Film Festival.
The Australian festival is to review Abbas Kiarostami’s films.
